The Miserable Mill (A Series of Unfortunate Events, Book 4) by Lemony Snicket: While this book isn't as good as the last two, that isn't really saying a lot because it's very nearly as good as the last two. In this book the world that Lemony Snicket inhabits seems to go from almost plausible to certainly impossible with the existence of a lumbermill whose workers don't get paid in cash... of course, there have been many attributes of the world so far that seem less than realistic, but this is the first book that actually pushed the boundaries enough for me to pay attention. Still, if you can get past that, the story is still sad and depressing while the writing style is exactly the opposite, so it's still a very good read. Like the other books, this one only took about an hour to read. Definitely a good series if you need a break from more heavy tomes.
