Banishment of the Daleks

A rumor has surfaced about a legendary Doctor Who script, "Banishment of the Daleks" (originally a 3rd Doctor tale featuring Sgt Benton and UNIT), being rewritten for the new series!

The script, which had a number of quirks for its time, appears to be very suited to David Tennant and will air (possibly with a new title?) during either the third series or as the Christmas Special between the second and third series.

As it's been reported for years in fan press that some parts of "Banishment" were actually filmed before the script was abandoned, there is a bit of curiousity as to whether any of the original footage will be used. Click here for more in-depth coverage.
