I'm reading every Aquaman solo adventure in publication order, one per day. After I read each story I'm going to post the cover/splash page and a few thoughts on the story.
Aquaman starts a circus to raise funds for protecting fish.
Aquaman visits an area he hadn't been to for awhile, and discovers all the fish have left. He learns firsthand why, when a rockslide hits him. After getting free, he checks the hillside, and decides to hire an engineer to support the cliff. To raise the money, he puts on a Sea Circus.
The crowds are HUGE. In fact, we know how much the take is, because some thieves are stealing it while the show is on! Forty grand... but the thieves think that turning out the lights is enough to stop Aquaman. Ha. Aquaman puts aside his top hat and grabs a deep sea fish to light his way. The thieves are quickly stopped, and the show goes on.
Finny Friends Report: A dolphin helps get the boulder off Aquaman's leg. In the sea circus: Flipp the Flying Fish jumps through a flaming hoop. Louie the Leading Lungfish climbs a tree, two seals and a pod of whales put on a rescue show, and a balloon fish swells and deflates. When the lights go out, luminous fish spell out "Aquamans Sea Circus" and an unknown fish works as a flashlight for Aquaman. The criminals are attacked by an octopus, then a walrus bursts through ice at them. The ever-present electric eels shock one thug. The lungfish chases another thug up a tree. The trained seals throw things at another thug and the whales spout off to finish him off. As a final act, Aquaman has starfish do a water ballet.
Captured/Knocked Out report: Nope, not in this tale.
