John Oliver on Infrastructure

I believe, firmly, that the biggest problem currently facing the United States is our crumbling infrastructure. We will soon be unable to use our roads and bridges... people will die when bridges collapse, dams break and communications fail. We've already seen some bridges fall, roads are taking a serious toll on vehicles that cost vehicle owners (including businesses) way too much in repairs, the United States has the slowest internet speeds among so-called first world countries (yes, the internet is part of the infrastructure now), power outages are becoming more common... in short, there's a lot of work to be done to get the system back up to basic levels.

As long as we continue to ignore the problem or put it off, we can't really call ourselves a civilized nation.
