Homecoming!

Just got back from the Homecoming football game at Eric's High School. It's fun to be a teacher's wife! I met the superintendent and the band director, who convinced me to visit the band a bit to help out. I think I'll be volunteering a bit at the elementary library as well, if the superintendent has anything to say about it. It was a fun game with lots of bad-for-me food, but our team lost.

I've known since the interview that I really like the people in this school district. This event just reinforced the feeling. Despite the complete change in weather, the stress of moving, the terror of culture shock... I think this place is becoming home.
