New Doctor Who Trailer

My thoughts: Didn't like it. The trailer. Nothing wrong with the actors, but the trailer is clearly made to look good in 3D, and in normal view it just looks silly. As a trailer it tells us very little about what to expect and doesn't get me interested in what's going to happen at all. The SleestakSilurian at the end is just horrid-looking. I'm not even slightly impressed.

I said on IMDb, looks full of cheap gimmicks to appeal to the people who think Stephenie Meyer is on level with Tolkien. Hopefully, this is just a marketing ploy...

It's made to be seen in 3D, which makes it naturally odd. One reason I don't like it is because it isn't really in the style of an actual Doctor Who story.

I agree with you, Laura. Watched the thing through three times and realized I didn't get any charge from it, like I had from the previous cinema trailers, mainly because, instead of being something tantalizing, it was a jumble of stuff that didn't go together well. (I didn't even realize that was supposed to be a Silurian until you said something; I know they're coming back, but are you sure that's what that was? I assumed it was the baddie from the first story or something...)

But yeah, does not look good in 2D. It didn't make me any more excited to see the new series, but (thankfully) it hasn't made me any less excited.
