I'm working my way backwards through Facebook's confusing system and try to get all the videos Eric has posted for his Song of the Month series. Today's month is September 2021, and the song is Rainbow Connection.
Sep 1st - Song of the Month, Day 1: New month, new song! I think a lot of people will enjoy this one!
Sep 2nd - Song of the Month, Day 2: This could end up being an all-star month, with nothing but celebrity covers. Here are the Carpenters.
Sep 3rd - Song of the Month, Day 3: I started off this month with what I thought was the first performance of "The Rainbow Connection" seen by the public, from "The Muppet Movie". But it turns out there was an ever earlier version, on a Muppet TV special to publicize the movie. So, here is that version!
Sep 4th - Song of the Month, Day 4: Another big name does a cover.
Sep 5th - Song of the Month, Day 5: Someone suggested this, and I completely approve! "The Rainbow Connection" was naturally nominated for the Oscar for Best Song. Here's the performance on the Oscar telecast, with a terrific introduction by a close personal friend.

Sep 30th - Song of the Month, Day 30: I started this month off with the opening of "The Muppet Movie". It seems appropriate to end with the big finale from the same movie.
