Today we learned that our newspaper's parent company has sold six weekly papers. It's a little frightening, although our operation appears to be in pretty good shape.
We have a press in our building on which our paper is printed. If I have done this correctly, there should be a picture of it in its idle state below.
Last Wednesday the press broke, a part of it shorted out. The bit that sprays water onto the plates. So people from "the newspaper side" of the building went back and manually sprayed the plates while the paper was printing. It was quite a little adventure.
Anyway. This is the longest blog I've attempted via smartphone, so I hope it works.
